I sold the DC plate on fairly quickly as I saw no real point in it. As mentioned earlier, I was expecting the .95 plate to be more blade forward and thought the lesser plate would be good for the ATG pass. Turns out this wasn’t the case. Although I really liked the feel of the OC side, the negative aspects of using a DC (more frequent rinsing and more fuss) outweighed.
Now a full OC plate would be interesting. If I recall correctly, the Lupo OC was considerably smoother than any GC OC. I can‘t make any serious statement about efficiency as I could only really tell with a side by side shave and have none of them around anymore.
One more thing perhaps. After several shaves with the Lupo .95, I‘m a bit disappointed they didn‘t make it just a bit more blade forward. I‘ve actually considered giving the baseplate some work with a dremel tool.
