I've been disappointed with the scent strength of a couple of P&B soaps.

'Spitfire' is great, the scent is strong upon opening the tub, and it is still apparent during a 3 pass shave.

Different scents are the main reason I buy different soaps from the same soap maker, but it gets frustarting when you can barely smell them once they are lathered. Because of this, there doesn't seem to be much incentive to buy multiple soaps if the scent does not stick around during the shave.

I understand the need to keep fragrance levels low to avoid irritation, but some of the soaps are really weak in scent strength.

Would it be possible to have a line with increased fragrance? I'm not sure how practical that would be, but it would be the ideal solution for those who like a bit of 'oomph' in soap scents.

Apart from that minor criticism, I really enjoy P&B soaps.

Best of luck with your new line of soaps and I'm looking forward to seeing what comes next.

I have to agree with this... had Pall Mall and Albion arrive last week and have to admit that I was a bit disappointed... both barely hitting the 3/10 on scent strength. Imperial Rum and Sanskrit were both on point at around the 6-7/10 mark.

All great performers mind, only soaps I've been buying of late.

Thanks everyone, all noted :)

Looking ahead to next year it's becoming apparent that we don't have enough months in the year in regards to our seasonal releases. Well, unless we did one each month, but then I feel we're diluting the special occasion of those limited soaps.

Proto-names for our seasonal line up are as follows:
  • Trafalgar (oceanic profile)
  • Coda (fougere - and our Led Zeppelin soap..)
  • Star Noir, Baskerville / Whitechapel and Denali are filling the other slots and Sarah and I are currently debating a valentine's soap profile. I'm after something inspired by Japanese culture (I think we'd nail an awesome name, profile and design) whereas she's after something more Shakespearean.
We've other products we're pushing towards completion, e.g. our post shave tonics, the smaller 2oz shaving soaps and a couple of other surprises. We are, to say the least, busier than a one legged man in an ass kicking competition!

Sounds good, especially the Coda, but I'm looking forward to V60 the most.

Do you know roughly what sort of time frame Kerry? I've said before, I personally think this is the profile your base has been screaming for and I am looking forward to this one more than any other soap.
