Alliance healthcare and AAH both have no stock of Palmolive, found another supplier who apparently has stock, so ordered 12 should be here this afternoon if the info is correct. We sell them for 99p (minus postage), so if anyone is interested in stocking up please just PM me.

Yes I got a similar response this morning. I think if enough of the wet shaving folk write to them they may just change their minds.

M&W gave me the same response regarding Irisch Moos, I think we are a smaller demographic than we might like to think... in some ways it's amazing they continued to sell it as long as they did.

Unfortunately highly unlikely as insufficient were being sold in the first place and retailer de-listing is now in full flight

Stockpile and top-up from mainland Europe seems the obvious way forward for those want on an on-going basis

Looks like this time it's real. I have ten at home, that'll last me a while.

...I probably have about a dozen but that now feels a wholly inadequate supply for the future. I wonder what the peak price for one stick will be on BST in a few year's time. It remains a favourite soap for me; 4 sticks grated into an old NSS plastic tub warms the cockles of my heart especially when 200g of a great shaving soap costs me less than £2; of course it is a double edged sword - I fear I am not compus mentis when I pay over £20 for 100g of soap from an artisan...

I know exactly what you mean.

The bigger picture on this issue is that overall, traditional wet shaving continues to be on permanent decline. Online shopping brought a second wave of demand in recent years to starve off its extinction, but it's still and will always be a very small niche of consumer demand in the personal care market and not one Colgate-Palmolive or P&G is bothered serving.

If it's still available in Europe, and it appears to be, if there's enough demand the speciality shaving shops will import it.

Good point. But that’s of course assuming we can still import from Europe at a half decent cost.
