Will the stockist be able to restock when their inventory gets low?

When a product is discontinued or the formula changed it can take a very long time to empty the supply chain.

I highly doubt it, although they do procure meds through European sources. I can still order 100+ sticks as of Thursday.

I have 2 & 1/2 sticks of Palmolive in stock that I rarely use so am good for life. I haven't heard of too many people actually consuming a box of 12 Arko, 12 Williams or 12 Palmolive so I am puzzled by the sudden panic stockpiling?
I think it's one of those where a proven product that doesn't cost silly money is soon to be diminished. Today it's hard to find products that work for a very reasonable price.

Human nature I suppose? If you ever visit a supermarket (over here at least) the day before they are due to be shut for a holiday (Christmas day etc) and you'll see plenty of people wandering around with a trolley filled to the brim with 6 loaves of bread, 20 pints of milk... Sheer lunacy, it's shut for one day FFS!

Same thing with these sticks, alright it's the end of an era I get that but it's just another OK soap amongst a sea of them, there's plenty of viable alternatives for not much more.

Guilty as charged, a bit like a trophy cabinet, always brings a smile to the face.
I guess you could also throw in regret. (obviously you have to like the product a lot). I regret not having hoarded on i coloniali. Scent and performance is incredible (mango). Palmolive at less than £1 need not fall into the same category.

I've never tried palmolive shave soap here in Canada , but I have shaved using palmolive "irish spring " bath soap . It worked really well . Usually I use williams soap , needs a few minutes soaking before lathering .

Palmolive quit the North American shaving market years ago iirc. When I started shaving with DEs about the mid 60's you could get the Palmolive shave cream in a tube locally. My dad had it so I used it and the scent has always reminded me of wet shaving. Never knew about shave sticks till a few years ago and have to say I really like the Palmolive shave stick with that familiar scent.

Ha Ha! reminds me of any Off License or Supermarket in Ireland on the Thursday evening before Good Friday, when up until last year all pubs and Off License’s closed for the day and restaurant’s couldn’t serve alcohol. It was like the ‘End of days’ with people running around buying booze like prohibition had just been announced!. Plus the look on tourists faces when told they couldn’t have any wine with their dinner in restaurant’s...classic, what kind of feudal society have I visited?!.
