Palmolive sticks going going gone?

Depends whether you're buying it on merit or because it's 50p a stick.
Well both really.
It’s a good quality stick but if it was sold here for 50p (even less when on offer), I find it hard to justify paying any more for it if it went up by a silly amount.

Some sellers on eBay are selling single sticks for £6!!! That’s just extortion.

I have a stash that’s vacuum-sealed in the back of the wardrobe. I see it as a bit like income protection insurance. I’m unlikely to reach for them any time soon but, if I run out of soap and/or money, I may have several years’ supply of Palmolive to keep me shaving.

...managed to stock up today (Superdrug and Wilko) to a level that makes me feel all warm and gooey inside :)

I'm not sure that they are being discontinued. I bought a few from Wilko today, but they had around 14 on the shelf, not reduced and nothing to indicate that they were being discontinued. Went to Sainsbury's after that and they had loads of Palmolive cream, which also wasn't on the UK Palmolive website posted earlier in the thread.

Edit: Missed the Colgate email earlier in the thread, so they will no longer be imported but there's still stock around

Our stockists still have a healthy stock level.
Will the stockist be able to restock when their inventory gets low?

When a product is discontinued or the formula changed it can take a very long time to empty the supply chain.

I have 2 & 1/2 sticks of Palmolive in stock that I rarely use so am good for life. I haven't heard of too many people actually consuming a box of 12 Arko, 12 Williams or 12 Palmolive so I am puzzled by the sudden panic stockpiling?
