A bit in line with the previous; I find it annoying when I read tough guy phrases like ' . and then I will step up to the Z plate / 8 setting', indeed as if any razor that isn't a health hazard are mere training wheels. A razor that hurts is just plain inefficient.
I have to shave daily so no need to assert my manhood with aggressive razors and tough guy talk. Is that unpopular?

Most are just shiny SS thingies with a head design that doesn't add any real improvement. I had a few and was not impressed. Wish I had kept some, because people pay a fortune for them in 2018. I didn't try them all so there sure must be a holy grail out there.

Anyway, who wants an embarrassment of a razor below 300 USD?

Yes, you are.

Speaking for myself, I can get an irritation free, BBS shave with a OneBlade. (The convenience of almost no skill required, that allows for quickness and forgiveness is the cherry on top.) Can't get anywhere as close of a shave with a cart. Yes, they've built a better mousetrap. You can't say the same for any of the other $300+ razors.

Does anyone, besides me, have problems with hairline cracks forming on Chubby 2 handles where the knot enters the handle ? My first 2's were best badgers and I charged it to being something I did. I now have a Super and I believe I have noticed one starting. I do NOT have this problem with other brudhes, Simpson's or no. Do they try to put too much hair bundle into the 2 handles?

These brushes, imo, are too expensive to have a recurring problem. T he only relief Simpson's offered was to sell me another brush @ 10% off MSRP, big whoop.

I have had a few Chubby 2s & 1s and I have never noticed any issues with the handles. Personally, I think Simpsons' handles are some of the best offered. Unfortunately, I wish they offered different longer shapes, and even custom designs seeing as I find their smaller handles extremely uncomfortable in hand, especially, the Chubby's design.

-Most honing and stropping practices are anecdotal garbage...I don't even discuss how I maintain mine ( for 40+ years) because of all the ire I would receive about it

-Most sunk cost fallacies on high end software. I don't care why you think your $100 soap is superior, I know it is not

-X country made a better straight razor then Y country. (talking vintage). Any razor made during this time is decent

-Superlathers, uberlathers, most prep advice is wack

-The word artisan in most instances. Pulease ...they are not commercial products and only this you can say about them...they just are another product not better, superior are any other superlative misnomer or argument you want to attach.

-Feather blades reputation...good or bad. Stop talking about them they are just another blade

-Coconut/Stearic acid soaps suck. Yup all of them. Hate them with a passion.

-Dovo and Thiers still makes good straight razors. Yeah they are modern but they shave and hone well...stop complaining.

-Most modern DE/SE razors...None have improved drastically over the GEM SE, Schick Injector or Gillette Tech...why buy one.

-The hype over birth year razors...WTF???. You don't start shaving in infancy. I still have the Gillette Tech my Dad gave me when I was 15. It's not from my birth year. Just don't understand the logic on this one.

-Shaving lingo - especially the whole efficient/mild/aggressive pseudo scientific BS that gets debated ad nauseum. Don't get me started on Tier1/Tier2 yada yada yada on software.

-The endless Boar vs Badger vs Horsehair vs Synthetic brush debate - You like your brush...noish. Don't try to convert me like some apostate in need of religion.

-The P&G/Gillette/Schick hate - FFS grow up. Don't like their products or philosophy.. don't use them. Trying to paint them as evil geniuses that somehow killed wet shaving if full on retard.

- Fanboyism of any product, style or method. - Invest your fanaticism in something productive

- This post because it is just another shite opinion....but at least I am aware of it
