Hey, this is the "Double Edge Safety Razors" part of the forum, get that old pocket knife razor back in the museum!I know your holy grail is the Old Type, but each to their own. Based on personal experience, i say they weren't. No better shave than with a good ol', well sharpened straight, for me at least.

He get's confused easily, you may have to draw pictures, with arrows.I’m talking about the Razorock Recurve razor![]()
I’m waiting for a RC80Quite a few on DFS have taken a punt on it.
Folks keep trying to invent a better mouse trap even though the old one is perfect.Based on my experience, no. Gillette Old Types, News and Techs all work perfectly well with modern blades.
The Recurve is, in my opinion, a solution to a problem that does not exist. There are already plenty of razors that clamp the blade firmly enough that chatter is eliminated. That said, from Razorock's point of view if people buy it it's done its job.
Nah, i'm goodHey, this is the "Double Edge Safety Razors" part of the forum, get that old pocket knife razor back in the museum!![]()

If you mean Seygus Zeppelin, that was a pretty different design. It uses a slight upside down smile curve of the cutting edge. It’s just IB cashing in on another’s R+D. If I’m not mistaken Seygus introduced a similar design many years ago. That said, I do own one of IB’s homage products in the form of the Lupo DLC. The other of their razors that i own and enjoy is the game changer .76 which as I understand is a design unique to them.
My eagle is real.He get's confused easily, you may have to draw pictures, with arrows.

Not you, you dip, or maybe you do need pictures and arrows!
Oh, thank you for the educationIf you mean Seygus Zeppelin, that was a pretty different design. It uses a slight upside down smile curve of the cutting edge.
It looks like they design the Recurve based on initial design of Fred Winterburn who sent it to them a few years ago.
He submitted his design to them because he wanted a razor like that, and they went and made it a limited series (for now). There's a Badger & Blade thread about it where he showed his original design on paper.Oh, thank you for the educationI’m unaware of Mr. Winterburn. Somehow it still seems like IB is cashing in on another’s R+D.
