Like you said mate, time to buy UK only. They’re not shipping to the UK for the foreseeable future.
It’s looking that way man. Finn at Slickboys says it shouldn’t affect what they’re importing in but I wonder if it’ll reflect in higher prices.Like you said mate, time to buy UK only.
I reckon now they can even if they wouldn't have to. That likely means they are going to increase prices. :-/It’s looking that way man. Finn at Slickboys says it shouldn’t affect what they’re importing in but I wonder if it’ll reflect in higher prices.
I think even ShipTo and services like this will be affected by it. They’d still have to set up the VAT to collect it at their end.I reckon now they can even if they wouldn't have to. That likely means they are going to increase prices. :-/
Well, there's always Shipito and such, but I don't really like using such services.
The shavepocalypse that I have been preparing for now for yearsI've said it before and I'll say it again - surrounding myself with a 50+ year shaving paraphernalia supply proved to be a smart investment!
Unlikely. They are part of the fulfilment process. The sales transaction still takes place between end consumer and retailerI think even ShipTo and services like this will be affected by it. They’d still have to set up the VAT to collect it at their end.
Wouldn't the service charge also be subject to VAT, though?Unlikely. They are part of the fulfilment process. The sales transaction still takes place between end consumer and retailer
Debatable as the service is both provided and consumed outside the UK and from what I can see, this type of transaction isn't even covered in the legislation / regulationsWouldn't the service charge also be subject to VAT, though?
I’m sure they‘ll find a way to sell their products in the UK. Right now the demand is huge in the US, so there’s no need to rush it, it seems.Steve from Alpha Shaving pointed out on Facebook that he just has to fill out a form to register for the new system and that it's pure laziness on behalf of Italian barber. The. 72 Lupo is out of stock already and I won't be going back to them now even if they do resume shipping unfortunately.
I see it much the same as you. Besides, who wants to look into taxation laws and whatnott over new years and the holiday season....particularly when Italianbarber has a UK distributor anyway.I’m sure they‘ll find a way to sell their products in the UK.
