I don't remember where I read this, but the cream is a little stronger than the soap in regards to scent. I have the cream, and it lathers easily.

50/50 split... That's the exact consensus I expected from you chaps

Generally I prefer soaps but do like L'Occitane cream, hmm decisions decisions...

I've only used the cream so I can't comment on the soap.

The cream is the best cream I've tried so far. I found it's performance to be head and shoulders above Castle Forbes, Trufitt and Hill and TOBS.
It offers a lot of cushion and slickness.

As for scent strength. I would say it's above average. Unfortunately I don't really care for the scent of the one I use, which is Havn.

Not tried their brushes, the soaps are very good, scent wise it's superb and the lather is very good too. You won't be disappointed the post shave feel, feels clean if that makes sense. Similar to Nanny's soaps.

I almost hate to say it with the general consensus that Fitjar are great but my first lather was fantastic and I was sold, the second was awful and my third almost good. Certainly struggling to find a consistant good lather. I hope to acheive something more consitant when I can be bothered to return to it.

Absolutely FANTASTIC ! Love it, the scent is great and the lather superb. It's clearly taken over as my current favourite. I also love the tub, appearance and presentation is an important factor for me as well as any products performance.
I am certain your SS, who and wherever he may be, is delighted to hear :)

Are those the old scents in the chart? Or are they expanding the menu? Includes some not on offer now at least (Naust, Bregneskog, Neroli).

Anyone tried the new Fitjar synthetic brush, by the way?

Received my Fitjar order (Fjellheim soap) today, well packaged with a handwritten note and a free sample of Havn aftershave moisturizer.

Fjellheim shaving soap: They say "Fjellheim makes you feel like you have been rolling in juniper bushes on your way over the mountain, like a true mountain man, no matter where you are". It smells like pine sap to me, absolutely lovely smell. Performance is good but not up to MDC standards... If MDC is 10/10 in all areas I would say Fitjar is a solid 7/10 so certainly not a bad product by any stretch but I have only used it once so we'll see if it grows on me with use.

Havn aftershave moisturizer: They say "Havn is dominated by the mild-mannered woody undertones of cedar, with a heart of herbal notes. Together, they make a mild and unobtrusive scent, suitable if you like a discreet fragrance that is rustic, yet warm." To me it just smells of generic face cream, not offensive but not particularly interesting either... Performance was OK, its a little thicker than I would like but very protective against the cold and wind so its one to consider if you're outdoors a lot (just tested it when I walked out for fish and chips )

On the whole I'm pleased with my Fitjar purchase and will be placing another order for some Folgefonn shaving cream before the free shipping incentive finishes on Jan 31st.

Tried it again last night and had a fantastic lather, seems I might have got things a little more dialed in.
