Your coffee brewing method

Happy Shaving!
Came across an Italian old traditional styled coffee that looked like the dalgona in the video below. Minus the whipped cream, it looks worthy of further investigation with the view to trying.

Is it a hot chocolate product?
I think our countries have different names for some of these products but here goes

High quality drinking chocolate, poured hot into the bottom of the glass, I add a square of milk chocolate. Same measure of black espresso, single cream which is then whisked until thick and spooned onto the coffee. If you are feeling decadent crumble some Cadburys Flake on to the cream.

The normal timing for an Irish coffee would be after a posh dinner, this bicerin, for me at least, would be a late morning treat, sat outside a cafe in an Italian square.

You may need a defibrillator on stand by.

Try reducing the dose or making the grind coarser. Caffeine is water soluble so the longer it’s in contact with water the stronger it’ll be.
Now I have had the chance to prepare a few dripper brews the high caffeine initially was the beans I was using not the method as they were the first ones I had tried.
The dripper method consistently gives me a great brew and the parts needed are cheap, easy to clean and there is no waste.
I like the hands on aspect of the dripper method. Hand grinding the beans & dialling in the grind, the ritual of the pour and the end result. I still have a lot to learn and trying different beans of course, I'm enjoying it 👍

Had an order delivered from Rave today. Another 1 kilo of the Fudge Blend and a small bag of Ethiopia Women's Co-Op. The Ethiopia was all over the place in the box and hadn’t been sealed properly. Must say their customer service is 10/10. I emailed them and same day I get a sorry and another bag on the way. Only a small issue I know but i have got in the practice of grinding the beans as and when I need them so want to be able to seal them in the bag which wasn’t possible. I have tried a few different beans lately from a few different suppliers and the Fudge blend is the one for me. Rave roast to order so you know you have a fresh roast. Last two orders were a kilo bag and a smaller bag to push it over £25 for free postage.

You put the beans in a bigger bottle, pour in the vodka and you get this ……..

Add some sugar after a couple of weeks and you get a nice Coffee Vodka. I wonder if I can dry the beans and grind them after ?????

I reckon the alcohol will have taken all the coffee oils out of the beans, so it'll probably be thin and without crema. Worth doing it for an experiment though, do let us know. Also how do you find the coffee vodka? I like coffee more than vodka but the 2 could work. (unlike the coffee Guinness which sounds ace but is neither fish nor fowl and I found it disappointing).

I quite like the Guinness Coffee. It will be a couple of weeks until the Coffee Vodka is ready. I haven’t tried this before, only Cherry Vodka and Cherry Brandy using the Cherries from the Cherry Tree in our garden. I will try drying the beans, but like you say I’d imagine a weak brew with the oils reduced.
