Looks interesting. Think I will give them a go when I next need more coffee.Anyone tried Iron & Fire coffee?
They look interesting
I’m either going for them or The Gentlemen Barista’s, another interesting roasterLooks interesting. Think I will give them a go when I next need more coffee.
I really tried to get into the Nespresso but everyone I tried was just bitter. Spent a fortuneI’m happy with my Nespresso and Cafepod's Supercharger coffee. I have a wee gadget that turns the used aluminium pods inside-out so that I can rinse them and put them in with the regular recycling.
It’s usually first thing in the morning that I want good coffee and at that point I’d be faced with the paradox of needing to drink the coffee before I was alert enough to make it if it required anything more demanding than drop pod in, press button.
) but in black. The Bialetti looks good?Although I tried putting my hands over my ears and going “La,la,la not listening.” during this thread, I’m becoming attracted to the idea of a moka pot.
I like the idea of a one cup (Mrs P only drinks instant at home) but in black. The Bialetti looks good?
Thanks
steve
I think I have gone far out of my depth & knowledge here on this coffee order. I'm not cut out for extreme or rare roasts. The smell is just funky & horrible. That also translates to the brew. If I had to say this was the most expensive & most horrible coffee I have ever tasted then I would be being polite.Rave order.
A couple of their 'rare' roasts and I thought I would try their tea.

Currently enjoying Lazy Sunday from Taylors (ground), Starbucks Blonde (beans) & Sumatra Mandheling (beans) from Morrsions.
My experience of a rare coffee was the same. They oversell these, you know the thing ? “Washed in a spring with water that has filtered through stone for millions of year, by a voluptuous emerald green eyed virgin “. It arrives and smells like it’s been washed in the socks by a rather large bloke who hasn’t washed in weeks !!!! Last one I purchased had a very citrus smell and taste, I tried it twice and it entered the bin, a waste of almost a tenner.I think I have gone far out of my depth & knowledge here on this coffee order. I'm not saying it might not appeal to a more advanced palate than mine when it comes to coffee but to me, this is undrinkable.
They both smell awful. The Burundi being far worse than the Colombia but it has the same funk in there. They taste like (to me) maybe a bitter beer that has gone flat & sat in the sun all afternoon & I hate bitter, I'm a lager lout all day.
Sorry Rave! Everything I have had from you has been spectacular but this, to me is not even what I could relate to even being coffee as I know it.
The tea on the other hand could arguably be one of the most delicious teas I have ever tasted!
