Feather AS-D2 mild?

I would be looking for somewhere between a Merkur 11C & the current Mühle R 41

Yeah , I had a R41 and i could use it but didn't particularly look forward to using it. I'd be keen to avoid anything that's a bit R41y

Original R 41 (2011 German)? They are even more agressive than the original Italian R 41's Mühle offered.

I had the 2013 version and it was plenty enough for me. Although it was only my 2nd ever de razor , it might be a walk in the park these days:smug:

Yeah, pretty much. The SB is awfully mild and works pretty good as a daily driver. I had a polished brass OC and loved the feel of the razor but hated the brass (tarnished 5 minutes after polishing).
I had a look at the polished brass on the website , that's a pity because it looks stunning.

I own a 0.74 SB and a standard SB. I love them both. Compared to the ATT stuff, hands down the Wolfman is better. Shave wise ATT's just give me razor burn and irritation no matter what plate I try and what soap I try. They just ain't for me!

Is there much difference in the shave between the 0.74 SB and the standard SB?

Not really. If you was to use the 0.74 daily the standard would be smoother.

I shave every other day so either suits. The 0.74 is slightly closer shave though but not much in it IMO.

Ah, so the std gap is 0.61 mm so the 0.74 is 0.13 mm more, which is a much more subtle change.
