If I remember correctly, it's not very aggressive. More so than the Wilkinson Classic, but which razor isn't?
I haven't tried it and have no intention of doing so. Right now, I'm considering something else. Vintage. For less money.

In that case - sure it can. Far better suited than any modern multi-blade cartridge wonder.
After seven days I'd get one of my straights out for a bit of practice though.
