I am pretty certain it is a zamak head and a brass handle.......all chrome plated....which makes it stainless.......not stainless steel. I wish I could find the link.......but i have seen a link to a Weishi razor which looks absolutely identical on aliexpress. I have never seen a cheap 100% Stainless Steel Razor

I used mine tonight and got a result which was as good as you can get. It is mild.....but if you are careful with the angle....it is very efficient.

Quite correct. The Wilkinson site actually contradicts itself and says 'Chromed' elsewhere and secondly as you say a SS razor less than £10 falls into the 'If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't true' category

Maybe they copied the description from AliExpress

I messaged Wilkinson Sword about the description and received this reply:

Thank you for contacting us regarding the Wilkinson Sword Classic Double Edge Razor + 5 Blades. It’s great to hear that you are enjoying your shaving experience with this razor and appreciate you taking the time to write to us with your comments.

I would like to confirm that the Classic Double Edge Blades are made of Stainless Steel and the Handle is Chrome-plated brass.

Thank you for drawing to our attention the fact the the Wilkinson Sword Shop site refers to the handle as being made of stainless steel. I have made our Sales Manager and Venture Blue (who manage the shop site) aware that this is incorrect and should be updated as soon as possible..

I don't think the likes of Tesco, Sainsbos, et al. write their own descriptions for products such as these either. I assume their descriptions are provided byby taken from Wilkinson Sword directly .

I wasn’t pointing fingers, merely pointing out it’s naughty IMHO
