What's the dinner tonight?

My dinner was a chipper/chippy takeaway. A qtr pounder with cheese & curry chips. My self and my wife drove to the seafront and ate it in the car looking out over the sea.

The wife likes to cook potatoes in the electric crock pot, then smash together with butter and cream and instant potato flakes. Its weird but it works.

I prefer baked, with a soft edible skin.

After scouring and rinsing, I wrap large russets in foil with olive oil and Montreal steak seasoning. Place in a pyrex dish and bake 300F until just soft. No overcooking. I want light and fluffy and starchy. I’m uncultured so I will put everything on a baked potato if I’ve got it-butter, sour cream, bacon, tomato salsa, grated cheddar, spring onions, ranch dressing, etc.

Buttered sourdough toast and coffee this evening.

Chili and grated cheese is good too. On the baked potato after you cut it open.

Spaghetti and meat balls with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese grated on top.

Had to Google... After much thinking I decided to go for this. I wasn't drinking last night. I just love Chorizo

Also, gravy appears to be white in the US as opposed to brown in the UK. This also affected my choice

Tonight, we will be sharing a thick cut butter flied pork chop done to juicy perfection on a cast iron skillet. To be served with air fryer done jacket/baked spuds and a veg.
