I hope that I am not alone in thinking that this forum, and perhaps TSR, should be a place of relaxed discussion and respect that follows the rules as set out.

If people want to be disruptive/argumentative/ belligerent or whatever then there must be better places on the web then to be difficult with volunteer moderators who have better things to do than deal with outlaws.

If that is just me then please let me know and I will clear off now.

got out early on this beautiful day to shave the back half of their lawn... on a break before stumbling in for a shower...
That reminds me, I have a rotary lawn mower, two years old. I knew the blade needed attention but on an older mower I couldn't move the nut holding the blade in place. This morning and the nut came away and sharpening the blade with one of these below in an electric drill

and it was such a such a good result, cutting the grass was rapid.

I discovered there exists transdermal patches containing melatonin and relaxing ingredients which can extend the effects. I ordered a month supply. I'll report back in June.

Also, walked, got the tires rotated, and washed the Tahoe. Soccer practice tonight with the grandson.

do you remember if you used a penetrating oil/spray or a breaker bar to try and get the nut off? also if it matters put anti-sieze in the nut or bolt...

On the old mower I used a long ring spanner first, no joy, then I swapped that out for a socket with a long bar then I added an extension by way of a long steel tube, didn't move at all, In the end I sharpened the blade in situ with a file, it was an improvement but not by much. That mower was gas powered and it was a beggar to start at the best of times but much worse if it had been over on its side, perhaps the float was at fault.

I gave up on it and bought a Hyundai electric mower and never looked back.

edit: I think that ring spanners are called box-end wrenches with you

Looks like one of these

thanks for answering... yeah your long steel tube is what we call a breaker bar... had a similar lawn razor issue last summer helping the brother fix a ride on lawn razor for a dude... the nut got loose after using penetrating oil/spray and a torque wrench with a breaker bar...

yous call them spanners ours are box-end wrenches butt typically just call them a wrench...
