Putting in our tax returns today.

As a bonus, picked up a nice lean thick cut strip loin steak to cut up for stew. We like them lean as we are paying for beef not fat.

Our tax authority is HMRC, I was pleased to have the message that I would not need to fill in any more tax returns, probably because they receive the information direct from source.

A neighbour told me that HMRC had written to him asking for information on another neighbour who is a contractor, he foolishly asks for payment in cash thinking that he can avoid tax.

HMRC pay for information on tax avoidance, that is a rum do.

The thought occurred to me that HMRC must have had some information on the contractor beforehand and if the neighbour had refused would there have been any consequences.

Today is ANZAC Day in New Zealand, commemorating the Australian and New Zealand soldiers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
This pic of the Catafalque Guard at the wreath laying ceremony at Pukeahua National War Memorial is my son. Very proud dad here.

Incidentally, yesterday marks 18 years since we made the move here from South Africa.

as usual little sleep butt extra energy... got an early shower in before a pony comes to pick us up for the last medical test on this beautiful Spring day... and Spring is here finally as the annoying flying bugs started breaking into their house and we'll reload their a-salt gun to take the flyers down...

Don't be encouraging Randy ! 😜 We don't want him turning into Roy Keane!
I had to look up a video of Roy Keane. :okay: My grandson never shows anger, but did say something this season to a referee. We don’t know what and was surprised that it occurred.

His defensive moves are sometimes flagged, but it appears he is just trying to get control of the ball.

I think if he maintains his interest he can go as far as he wants. His athletic ability is natural, but he will need to continue to hone the necessary skills.

It's brilliant that he has a natural athletic ability and I hope he continues to enjoy the game as I think for me personally that is something I have lost as a supporter and I don't think I'm alone in it.

The 'midfield general's role as anyone who loves football will tell you that it needs a certain amount of 'life' if I can put it that way. Roy Keane was a fabulous player but a slightly less hardcore role model might be Patrick Viera who was Keane's arch nemesis during his playing days.

It must be lovely to follow his progress as keenly as you appear to do. Great stuff.

P.s. I have just consulted my wife who is a football addict 🙄 🙂 and she claims Bryan Robson aka Captain Marvel is the best midfield general she has ever seen. He also played for Manchester United and was England captain. Another one for Google perhaps! 😜
