Royal Mail have just emailed to say that they cannot deliver the parcel I paid for next day delivery on because "Nobody was home at the indicated address." This came as a surprise as I've been in all day. I'd rather they were honest: "We could deliver your parcel today, but we can't be bothered. Don't bother trying to complain, no-one will answer the phone and the delivery office is only open for ten minutes a day so forget collecting it yourself."

Chris, make an online claim. I do it pretty regularly, especially for special next-day deliveries.

I have contacted the seller, they have confirmed that they will refund the delivery cost.

I have come to the realisation that the older I become the more intolerant I am, I had hoped it might be the other way around.

Came out of hospital on Friday, I had been in for 4 days. I was in a four man ward. One man who was in for less than a few hours and was told to lie still and on his side asked his teenage daughter to hold a urine bottle as he peed, I called for a nurse to intervene. Another man who had a constant cough refused medication refused to lie down and sleep but sat up in a chair, constant coughing. He made no attempt to sleep but for his own reasons wanted to stay awake all night, he kept three men who needed their sleep to be awake.

Being British I was not one to say to him, 'behave yourself and stop being awkward'.

Maybe he saw the reaper waiting on him to lie down.

Or lying down may have made it hard for him to breathe.
