well the fun doesn't want to go away... it's nearly 0100 and sleep isn't happening... on a short break... doing a little excersise which should help the sleep happen...

I really enjoy my job. Working with 16-18 year olds is something I never thought I would or even could do. It can have its ups and downs and you hear so many funny things from them. I am so fortunate to be able to talk to them about anything, I never get embarrassed and everything is matter of fact. However you do have somedays where you feel both angry and sad, and the last two days have got to me somewhat.
One of the female students I see everyday has had some issues at home. She a nice girl, well behaved, very polite and a plain girl,no make up etc, absolutely no trouble whatsoever. She lives with mum and her step dad. But doesn’t get on with stepdad and he has told her they don’t want her at home anymore. So she has had countless meetings with our safeguarding and even the police involved due to marks showing harm. So she is being placed safe.
Obviously we hear one side. But it’s the one thing that gets me and it’s not that unusual for young people to get in to this sort of situation. So now with two weeks Easter holidays we will wait and see how she is when we get back.
