What made your day a crap one?

Got away with going out earlier this morning for the Boss's appointment as the freezing drizzle was just starting. Tried to get the recycle wheeled bin from the curb this afternoon and it was scary slippery even after laying down salt. The forecast for the rest of this week and into next week is a mix of freezing drizzle, rain, snow flurries and snow or some combination of them on any particular day. We decided to stay home and cancel any appointments that we had well into next week. Both of us are mobility impaired so why risk it when you don't have to. The weather she be a pita alright.

Not looking forward to the change to Daylight Savings Time tonight at 0200/2 AM Sunday morning.

Does it make morning very dark? How does it change the actual daylight you get? Just interested from a UK point of view. Think your in Canada...

Thanks Mark

Actually, it gets light earlier in the morning and stays light later into the night too. That seems to be contradictory until you take into account the earth's rotation iirc.

June Solstice 2026: Shortest & Longest Day of the Year

I could do without the back and forth twice a year and just stay on one time year round.

I should say that to add to the confusion, Canada has many time zones with most having a difference of 1 hour except for 1 that is 1/2 hour different.
Some of the time zones do the yearly dance back and forth while others do not. My own time zone has had it's border artificially altered to be slightly west of where it should be. That puts Thunder Bay just into the Eastern Time Zone. That means this zone includes the Province of Quebec, most but not all of the Province of Ontario and puts us in the same Time Zone as New York city.
