I've got the SS as well, it's a great razor. I just slightly prefer the Ti version but you can't go wrong with either.

I got the SS with stand at full price but consider it money well spent, as until I got the Ti it was my favourite DE razor. The Ti, I was fortunate to get from the BST here on ATG.
In what way is it better?

It’s just smoother, less dangerous but as efficient as the old one, the blade seats better inside the razor

I have a few modern DE razors. Not all are still currently available. Of those that are, my faves are Merkur 41C, Fatip Piccolo and the iKon B1OSS and OC. Interesting they’re all open combs. However, My two very favorite modern DEs are relative distant memories; the black oxide Asylum Evolution and the Razorock Lupo DLC.

I couldn't choose between my Carbon CX Ti standard plate and my Game Changer.84 Jaws,they handle differently due to the weight difference of course but both provide excellent close comfortable shaves,I'd put the Start2 1.70 plate in the mix as well,very efficient but being a head shaver it's one you have to be really careful with on the old bonce.

1 & 2 are clear (but ignoring a lot of vintage and unobtanium), 3 depends on the mood - could also be the Merkur Progress, or one of the chinese wolfman clones with a 1.5/1.55 gap

Difficult … in no real particular order (and I didn’t consider “adjustables”):
1. Timeless .95 Scalloped Bar
2. Razorock GameChanger .84
3. Alpha Outlaw Standard plate
These are probably my most frequently used ones. Following very close behind: Rocca and EJ 3one6.
I have those 5 permanently on rotation - other razors get thrown in as I see fit. But these five are my most used ones of the non-adjustable types, with the 3 above being my real favourites for daily close shaves.
1. Timeless .95 Scalloped Bar
2. Razorock GameChanger .84
