I used to think that of the Darwin style handle until trying one. I was completely wrong. It is actually very easy and comfortable to hold and use. Maybe this handle is similar?
From my limited experience with this handle shape, it is not really functional.
The titanium alloy finish is very smooth.
Combined with the lightness of the handle and the progressively reducing diameter as you go up to the M5 thread, the thing does not work for me personally.

This one herebelow may work better, and I should have opted for it (it was actually €3 more but I refused to pay the extra because all I wanted was the head...)

Incidentally the razor head works very well, I shaved this am and it is a great shaver (mild of course).

It is astonishing how good the Chinese can be when tooling and machining comes about.

They call this thing "EDC", in almost everything they do they can seldom get proper brand or model names right.

The head geometry is supposed to be 'open comb' on one side, 'closed comb / solid bar' on the other - but the way either side shaves has minimal difference in aggressiveness.

To have such a top & bottom cap plus a handle from Ti alloy all for less than twenty quid delivered, who would have thought some years back...

Oh, yes. The Swiss cheese handle looks quite nice to me. It surely seems to be an upgrade over the first you showed with the seam down its length. I understand what you say about smooth, slippery handles. I’ve owned one. The polished finish and the weight of it in general wasn’t conducive to a secure feeling in hand what with razor sharp steel attached at the end. But I do like that little Swiss cheese number!

About naming products.. I mean this strictly from a linguistic perspective.. I’ve come across countless examples over the years of products across genres. Many’s the time, product names and/or nouns in general, don’t always translate well from the first language to English. That is to say, it makes sense in the coiner’s native language, but direct translation doesn’t always get to the direct meaning to speakers of the second language. I think it’s a matter of preconceptions of word meanings and linguistic expectations.
