It's... alive!
We’re big fans of Brokenwood too. It’s like Midsomer Mysteries but with better weather. :)

I would dearly love to see a crossover between the the two, either Barnaby in NZ or Mike in the thatched world of Middle England.

I've been watching it since last year, I rather like it, too.
I like the Kiwi accent, too.

If you liked The Brokenwood Mysteries and Midsomer Murders, you might enjoy at least the first series of Death in Paradise, too. :)

Did anyone watch The Good Ship Murder? Absolute twaddle but suitably mind numbing for a Friday evening. It’s main drawback was having to endure Shayne Ward’s warbling as the cruise liner’s on board’entertainer’.

Gave up on the 2nd season of Tulsa King. Landman I enjoyed even if typical Taylor Sheridan fare.
Resident Alien watched a couple, poor.

Just finished Squid Game series 2. I wasn't sure how they were going to continue it but think they did a good job except for the fact that, while billed as series 2 of 3, it didn't reach a conclusion leading me to think that series 3 is actually going to be the other half of series 2.

As an aside, my 10 YO daughter has been asking about watching it as apparently a few of her class-mates have seen it. I said no.

Good for you, there is some pernicious stuff out there and if the TV companies won't help then it does no harm at all for parents to act as a filter.

We had to filter out TV programs with angry clowns or ventriloquist dummies, my daughter at age 10 would be scared of these and have sleepless nights, better for you to have the filter than be kept awake. Mind you, mine had no reservations about going to a friends house at age 12 and watching a VHS tape called Fornication.

I believe that the TV companies are doing enough by providing an age certificate and a brief explanation of why it applies, I'm not sure what else they can do. I also believe that it is our responsibility as parents to try to protect our children from inappropriate content, not that of the TV companies.

I have also explained to her that by not letting her watch things that are too old for her it's not to stop her seeing cool stuff, it's because it's probably going to contain scenes that she'd find upsetting, frightening or would make her feel uncomfortable. I also don't want her to be desensitised to violent content by watching it when she's too young to fully understand.

"I wrote seasons two and three at the same time, and we were in production for both simultaneously, and currently we are in the post-production process for Season 3. When I was writing the script for the two seasons, I felt like there was a big turning point or an inflection point, and that was the end of episode seven, so I thought that it would do it justice to have a separate season after that. That’s why I had first seven episodes as Season 2 and then the rest of Season 3."
