Let me rephrase that Buddy, "You are loved and appreciated by the ones that matter the most". I couldn't agree with you more, Stevo always backs his products fiercely and his customer service is top notch.Too kind amigo but, thank you for the kind words. About being well loved across the forums, I might say that’s stretching it a bit especially over at the B&B as there are a couple of Admins there that hate my guts. Nothing I can do about that. However, your statement concerning Alpha and how they go about their business in creating quality products at very competitive prices with The Guido being the deal of 2025 is right on the money. I have nothing but, respect and good things to say about Alpha Shaving in my dealings with Steve. He has been a true gentleman and backs his products 1000% no questions asked.
I give credit where credit is due and Alpha Shaving has earned my business and loyalty for his exemplary products & customer service.
Good luck and happy shaves amigo…![]()
I think this sums it up beautifully. I lean towards the OC plate too buddy but when I shave for consecutive days then the SB steps up.View attachment 162631View attachment 162632View attachment 162633
I’m going to keep this relatively short and sweet, the Guido is an excellent razor and great value. It for me hits a perfect mid point, not too mild or aggressive it’s right in that Goldilocks mid zone for me. The weight is slightly head heavy which I prefer, the handles knurling is one of the best I’ve used on any razor, the finish is excellent.
It also hits a first for me as on my first 3 shaves I actually preferred the open comb, it was a tad more efficient and yet felt perfectly safe and smooth. It’s an absolute keeper and great daily driver!
A final heads up and thanks to Steve, @AlphaShaving his customer service and communication is second to none. I’ve bought new razors from a variety of vendors and none go to the level of detail he shares, with regular email updates or communication one to one or via forums! Also he keeps his prices more than reasonable in a world of ever increasing prices!
Are the blade tabs covered or do they stick out when razor is assembled. This is the technical term as per YouTube reviewsI think I may have to get one. Just a question ... does the blade stick out much from the edge (the technical term eludes me at the moment)?
That's it! Do they? Are the blade tabs covered or do they stick out when razor is assembled. This is the technical term as per YouTube reviews![]()

You won’t be disappointed, it’s also the first razor I have found that I get on and prefer the open comb plate over the solids bar. The handle and weight is brilliant.OK you and @Str8Mug have enabled me to try this razor.
I don’t really need another razor because I am loving my ATT S1 but for the price of an MdC soap it's too good a bargain to pass up.
I will you know my thoughts when the time comes bloody enablers.
I must have been the extremely lucky last.I missed it.![]()
I had an email today saying that there are a few left.I missed it.![]()
