The anti one soap one month challenge

The Rockwell 6s was the first stainless razor I bought and is still the razor I've spent the most money on. It was my main razor up until I got the 0.84 Gamechanger. I've been saving the 6s for if I needed a really good shave but seeing as I'm not planning any nights out soon I thought I'd dust it off. Faultless shave and reminded me how great a razor it is. Will be seeing more use in the future.

Another day another shave

Chocolate limes followed by a squirt of Crabtree & Evelyn west Indian limes cologne and a squirt of dark temptation EDT for good measure!

Of the few badger brushes I own/ have tried, this is the only one I can say I really enjoy. It's tiny but brilliant!

Think this will be the last time I use the R41. It does it's job well but I just don't enjoy using it.

Another set that's been lingering unused. Great performance and scent as expected with PAA. Massive Yaqi was picked up in a bundle of brushes a little while ago. First use today and whipped up a copious amount of lather. Lovely smooth shave from the fatboy.

The Cadman brush was one of my first raffle wins. I've barely used it, I just don't get badgers and have always been worried about chipping it bowl lathering. This will be put with the rest of the pile to be released in the new world.

Fougere Gothique, I had the soap without the splash for a long time and always paired it with floid black and aramis modern leather. It's great to finally have the matching splash, but I do quite like my old pairing.

I gave up with the razor after a couple of strokes and switched to my fatboy. Either poor technique on my part or the edge needs more refinement. Wither way I can't see me using it again so will be sent on it's way.

First time out for the 3one6, first time using an Edwin Jagger razor at all. I only wanted to try this after watching made in Britain and decided I needed a British made, modern, stainless razor. Very nice smooth shave, looking forward to using it again.

30mm synth brush I reknotted a long time ago, been seen in many of my SOTD posts.

Hype soap and splash sample. Alexandria 1981x scent (Xerjoff 1861 Naxos). Plenty of soap here to try. Strong scent out of the tub, I've not tried the scent it's based on so can't compare. It's a great scent though and I could see it being a firm summer favourite. I always struggle using soap samples, usually dont use enough. Sure enough the soap was airy at first, loaded my brush again and there was suddenly a bowl full of thick creamy lather. A slick comfortable shave was finished off with the complimenting splash. Very nice post shave feel and a great lasting scent. Will be on the buy list if the price is right.

I've used all my brushes now. Really enjoying the process of working through all my kit. Looking at things with a more critical eye and deciding if it should be kept or not. I'll have a few things up for sale/trade when the BST reopens.

Not much to say about the Seville that's not been said before. Doesn't get used as frequently as it should.

Gave the Dixi razor a go. Surprisingly smooth shave. Plenty of blade feel but not too aggressive.

Most people seem to shave this way, it's why the one soap a month challenge existed. I don't think I could do a whole product start to finish. Hats off to those who can!

In this stage of the shaving game, many of us have acquired several tins of soaps.

The reality is that I'm not going to live long enough to finish all of them.

This really is relevant to us older dudes.

So every soap I have , I want to experience.
Same with blades, razors, bowls, brushes, aftershaves, etc. what am I saving them for?
And.......I'm having such JOY in doing so!

There are no "shelf queens" of ANYTHING in my life! Why would I seek and acquire something and not want to use it.
I apologize to the many who DONT have the funds to purchase several items.

Thank god I have ( at the moment) to sample a few.

Also I'm not interested in how many times I can use things before I bin them. I'm only interested in how well they perform.
But , then, by now, you may realize I'm a tad like CICERO: "Let us not choose him , he will not follow ........... anyone's lead!
