Second shave and a quick review because I have things to say.
The second shave was a lot better than the first, I used a slightly different angle and got a little more blade feel on the face.
I managed to get a cut free bbs with less strokes so it's definitely getting better.
Let's talk magnets.
I have always used a little plastic tumbler that I fill with warm water and then place my brush into it to soak whilst I prep my face, once I remove the brush I usually drop my razor of choice into the water to warm whilst I am lathering.
On this occasion I pulled the Tatara out of the tumbler and was about to start shaving and I noticed something was wrong.
I looked into the tumbler and there sat the top cap, it had obviously gripped the narrow part of the cup and then was pulled off when I pulled the razor out.
I never felt it come off and yes I can always use a wider tumbler but my point is, it has never happened before and would not have happened if it was screwed onto the head.
Not a huge issue but something to mention as well as having to leave the razor in two parts to dry.
I promise hand on heart I am not intentionally looking to bash magnets, I am just calling it as they arise.
A big plus side and the reason I wanted to make this post is about my head shave.
I judge superb razors by how good they can shave my face and head, I own and have used some fantastic razors that shave lovely on the face but sucked a@@ when it comes to head shaving.
I can unequivocally say the Tatara Amakuni razor is simply superb at the head shave on par with my Vector easily.
I feel that the already angled head on the sloped handle plays a big part of it and it might take my SE top spot for shaving my head.
If you are a head shaver then you will love this razor and I would imagine you will be more than happy with the face shave.
That's it for this post and will summarise my thoughts later once I have given it a fair run.
So far so good.
Ps forgot to mention I have tried unscrewing the top cap off a couple of times because I forgot about it just pulling off and not having the screw thread.
I will get used to it I am sure.
