Pre shave: Hot shower and Neutrogena glycerin soap bar
Razor: 1958 Rhodium Rocket
Blade: Personna GEM PDG (13)
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Bluish Violet synthetic
Bowl: Captains choice copper
Soap: The Glasgow soap company Iron Brew
Post shave: The Goodfellas Smile Orange Empire aftershave splash

A very enjoyable evening shave with a new razor and some amazing scents.
3 smooth and efficient passes once again with no post shave issues to report.

So what's the Rhodium Rocket like?
Well, like any other flare tip, but prettier 😅

Middle of the road mild in terms of aggression but like its American cousins, extremely efficient and very smooth with a great balance which makes it easy to let the razor do the work for you.

It's beyond my limited photography to capture how it looks but anyone who's seen rhodium plated knurling will know when I say that in person, it gleams like a jewel.

Glasgow soap co's Iron Brew performed very well once again in conjunction with my pre-shave soap, providing a very well cushioned, effortless glide for the razor.
And TGS Orange Empire provided the perfect end to such an enjoyable shave with it's soothing properties and rich complementary Citrus and amber scent.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

Special company shave Sunday.

Well we are having guests over for dinner that are very special to us. In honor of the occasion I broke out my mint F4 Toggle. I cherish it along with my D1, I am truly blessed to own them. I have come to respect the design and engineering back in 1956 that went into this razor. It is such a pleasure to shave with the combination of balance and adjustability is flawless.

Proraso pre-shave, Gillette F4 Toggle, Omega EVO, Ethos Succes’ soap, Tatra, Omega Alum, Thayers Facial Toner, HAGs Faceless balm, Creed Aventus cologne. Perfect BBS three pass shave (7,5,3).

Microtouch TTO razor
Shark super stainless blade Leponix synthetic brush
Captain's Choice sandalwood shaving soap
Up & Up witch hazel
Afta original aftershave balm
Sandalwood Reve eau de cologne

Hot shower prep with Old Spice Fiji bodywash

I did a face lather and a two pass with minimal blade buffing. It wasn't perfection but it was a good Sunday night shave. Afta did a proper finish and Sandalwood Reve set a Sunday mood even in jeans and a tshirt.

Afternote: The Captain's Choice was so fat rich that I had to use white vinegar to get it off my hands.
