@chazt was kind enough to send me a few soaps, and I think they’re gorgeous. My first foray into great hard soaps. Figured I’d give them the royal treatment. The fit is perfect, and I enjoy looking at it.

Pre-Op - Pears Glycerine Soap
Razor - Rocnel, Al Adjustable (1st@3, 2nd@2)
Blade - BIC, Chrome Platinum (4th)
Set - Oaken Lab, Sanctum
Brush - GDMG, Horse Hair
Moisturiser - Nivea
Bowl - Captain's Choice (large)
First Time - Rocnel Aluminium Adjustable.
I was surprised by this.
In the hand, I wasn't impressed.
Nothing wrong with the finish, (except for some sharp edges on the cap).
It just feels too light, bulky and cheap.
I work with aerospace aluminium alloys and that feels more solid than this marine graded stuff.
However the shave itself was very good.
Lovely and smooth, good clamping and efficient.
The light weight of the aluminium aided the bulky design.
I think this is a Rocnel may actually keep

A quick tidy up tonight. 2 passes and barely that was all that was needed. A nice smooth finish. Dolphin smooth some might say
The blade was a Wilkinson Sword #2.

We cruise vacationed to Jamaica many years ago, and while there actually did swim with dolphins. They’re quite big and muscular. And smooth, too!I'll have to take your word that Dolphins are smooth since I have no experience. Beautiful brush.
