Blackland Sabre V2 w/GEM PTFE
Simpson CH3 Best (wow!)
Martin de Candre Rose
Snake Bite/Original Talc splashup

A decent shave at best, certainly not good or great. It was the sixth shave for the gem blade and it was all of a sudden, tuggy. I stuck it out for two passes trying to compensate for the reduced blade, but should have swapped it out for a fresh one. As a result it was not a close shave, and while there was no post-shave irritation, there was definitely mid-shave wrongness. My fault for not listening to the blade.

6/10 and tossed the offending steel.

This is the first proper shave in two days. It's been two days of canned foam, a scrape and a promise while I took my brother to hospital ER and too many doctors. He's home and issues are on the way to getting solved. I grabbed some me time for a shower and proper shave. I did a face lather and single pass with extras on trouble spots. It was a clean up of this morning's scrape fest with the cartridge and foam. Nivea calmed down the near razor burn and Jovan brought that '70s disco vibe. I feel like I've had a full week and it's only Tuesday.
Best wishes for you're brother, and good for you for looking out for him. 👍

A good over all finish, but I don't get on well with this razorr - Me and open comb razors don't mix well.
No matter how good the lather and light the touch, I end up with at least a couple of weepers.
It has now been removed from the cabinet, and banished to one of the shave gear storage boxes.

Choice of soap inspired by @Tonyschin SOTD. James's soaps & splashes were certainly top notch.

An okay shave - 9/10 - likely just due to me taking a few shaves to adjust after 10 days of FlyDears. The finish was DFS+, but it left me feeling somewhat scratchy. Arko made an acceptable lather, but TFS has ruined me.

Arko in a Nivea cream tub, a DSC G7 26mm synthetic, Yaqi Mellon Titanium, Suneko #4 and Layrite No.9 Bay Rum aftershave.

Asylum Injector
Schick Proline B-20 (5)
Simpson CH1 Best badger
MdC Vetiver shave soap
Snake Bite aftershave splash
chazt private blend bay rum

A wonderful shave made up for yesterday. It was the fifth shave with the B-20. With the tuggy Gem memories still fresh, just to be on the safe side, I banked the Proline blade after cleaning up.

I’m fresh in the midst of a potentially disastrous injector blade procurement situation! While I have about a dozen or so blister packs of sChicks and Japanese Schicks stashed, I’m now in my last package of Prolines. I like the Prolines very much and thought I had another pkg in storage, but apparently not. BullGoose has closed, and shipping to the states has become an issue. Hmm, maybe some fellow stateside shavers might be interested in splitting an order direct from Japan?
