Simpsons Chubb 2 (Synthetic) - King Charles Coronation Special

Arrived today after approx 2 weeks from ordering. A fantastic looking brush, the Pictures of it on the a Simpsons website do not do it justice. The engraving on the bottom of the brush is faultless. The knot has been very well shaped, which on occasion can be a let down with the Simpson synthetics. Much depends on who putting the knots in and trimming . Is it worth the money ? yes, most definitely. Not a great lover of Manchurians so the badger hair version was not for me, and the price was rather high.

My only comment / thought I suppose was that Mark could have chosen a different handle, say a discontinued shape such as the “ Phyl” to give these brushes a little more presence rather than the easy option, oh well use a Chubby 2.

All in all, delighted with the purchase 😁

Arrived 20 minutes ago. They sent me a vintage grey-box era brush, so I'm not sure if it is a Sommerset era or a Vulfix era brush? I'm pleasantly surprised, its very substantial but not as big and bulky as I was expecting, it feels great in the hand, as much or more so then the 59?

In case anyone is wondering, I got it on highly discounted sale here ($140 for the 10 and $160 for the 12). They also sent me a little satchet full of St James of London samples.

Now I'm starting to wonder if it might be an 8 mislabeled as a 10? Because it's supposed to be 122 mm tall while the 59 is supposed to be 110mm tall.

I read somewhere that someone else had a mislabeled Polo. I think they returned it, but I'm not 100% sure.

It’s a Vulfix brush but quite an old one looking at the decal. Looks nice! Just saw the care label. I’d say it’s around 10 years old if I was to guess.
