how frugal are you with your products or you just use as much as you want?

i use as much as i want as everything lasts me a lifetime either way lool

I think a lot of things people do today are trying to make up for poor lathering and/or shaving technique. Actually there was no "shaving scene" back then. You just learned to shave with the basics that were available locally. Facial hair was not a thing in the work place or military back then either. You were expected to be clean shaven.

To answer your last two posts @saj1985, I use as much product as I like, I like to use a big brush (ideally 30mm) and load soap like I hate it. Even so soaps last a satisfactory length of time before needing to be replaced.

As for pre-shave, I have no idea when in terms of a date it became a thing, but it will have been once someone realised they could sell it.

I think something called "electric pre shave" appeared first. Hattric, Pitralon and the Hungarian Barbon are three brands that i know of, and Myrsol Electric. The first three are made to stiffen tha hairs before shaving with an electric shaving machine. Not sure about the Myrsol, as it's known to be used as after shave in most cases.

so usea lea shaving stick, wow what a nice lather really like it but its hardly got any scent barely even mild lol

really enjoying using shaving sticks was wondering whats your favourite shaving stick?

The only stick I currently use is La Toja. It has a mild herbal scent and provides very good lather.
Tabac is stronly scented with excellent lather.
Arko is also strongly scented (but not in a good way), :D

i havent used any la toja products as of yet but heard good things about it.
i used the tabac shaving cream and the shaving soap its alright nothing great, is the shaving stick any different? i got the stick too

hey arko smells fine lol

I've not personally used the Tabac stick but, for me, the puck is great in performance and scent (especially in Winter).
