Yea tbh shavettes are nice in that you can just dispose the blade and try any brand new brand you fancy
How long does it take you to use a straight or shavette etc compared to say a de/se razor?
Cuts, and thus drawing blood is easy without regards to any blade at all. I shave my crown jewels with any DE blade I can get my hands on. The razor and according blade gap is what causes cuts on the hair follicles on the sac with the corresponding skin tension, mind you...for those of who're into manscaping don't you find it a bit strange and surreal that when you shave your bits and bobs you can use any de blade and it works but on your face/head it's a different ball game where you find certain blades work better then others?
I mean it's just weird as your bits and bobs are more sensitive then your face and head

Can't see myself settling on one razor, but after a couple of years in the hobby, I am definitely able to streamline and focus on the ones that I really enjoy using. I have broadened from DE razors to AC SE razors, then shavette (just one) and now straight razors. Ideally I can get down to two per razor type?any of you content and settled with one razor for good?

I have a tendancy to squit out too much shaving foam, so experiment to determine how much you prefer. A good wet face also helps.
