Early morning light at Alto Lake, Ruidoso New Mexico. At roughly, 7500 feet elevation. A favorite fishin hole. Get there before the sun comes up; you’ll limit out on trout before 8 am.

Not uncommon to see Black Bears lumbering about or a Eagle crashing into the water and flying away with a fish. There are Mountain Loins lurking…won’t see them…hopefully. Best to have your head on a swivel and be aware.

I should have been an engineer building bridges, love 'em, seeing the bridge above reminded me of a schoolboy project to photograph and record packhorse bridges, these were bridges that were built, typically, before 1300, not strong enough for a horse and cart but ok for a horse with saddle bags. The bridges don't usually have sides and are very narrow.

This bridge was built around 1180 and is still in use.
