Let me introduce myself: I am Alessandro Pistoia, creator of the small artisan workshop PantaRei in Palermo, Italy.

We work with artisanal ceramics, we were born as producers of ceramic brushes, in fact we are known for this. Over time we have opened up to the production of shaving soaps and aftershaves and finally also to a small and refined production of perfume extracts.

I am a straight razor enthusiast, in fact everything is born from this passion, having a collection of around 300 straights including NOS industrials and artisanal productions from all over the world. I am among you as a producer but above all as an amateur, because even at 50 years old, you can still learn a lot!

Thanks to everyone and see you soon!

Alessandro.

Good morning Alessandro, firstly welcome to AGT. I'm an admirer of both your ceramic brushes and shaving bowls - but as yet have not purchased either. I'm a user of a couple of your shaving soaps and aftershave splashes (Tabacum & Marrakech), and which I like very much.

Welcome Alessandro,

let me just say I am a big fan of your soaps, both the scents and the performance leave nothing to be desired.

I see in your photo you have one of your manchurian brushes. I have caught myself looking at these a few times. Can you describe the knot? In particular, does it gel or does it have a more natural feel?

Ciao caro amico,
I built the knot remembering what I like to feel on my face: I don't like knots that are too floppy but I like the sensation of a caress on my face.
To this caress I tried to add a backbone that is present but never intrusive.

I looked for a supplier who could guarantee me this and after a few tufts and a bit of experimentation, the choice fell on this manchurian which I classified as 1QU (first quality), having never experienced a caress sensation like this but at the same time as a delicious massage. As some may know, in the past I have supplied myself with excellent ZENITH (Palermo) knots with which I have served many customers.

But these have a particular touch that I preferred over all.

My presence here is as an enthusiast but I am also a producer and I would like, through you, to make my products known outside of Italy.
I found this forum very active and participated, it means that people are well and have the mental serenity to live a passion with carefreeness, as it should be for everything they like.
So, as a producer, if there are (I ask the admin) any obligations or regulations to comply with, I am available to observe and respect them like everyone else.
Thank you all for the warm welcome and see you soon!
Alessandro.
