Fermata was also a movie where a man found he could pause time for all manner of reasons including getting intimate.

My meaning was to suggest that to and fro in the conversation to that point needed to be paused before the protagonists found themselves in hot water.

Good point, but most likely not taken. Push back is natural and there are times to refrain. Other times it just gets old and especially from the same source.

Buyer purchased something from me and immediately messaged to say "Hey bruh, the condition better match the description." I assured him it did and said if he was concerned or had changed his mind I could issue a refund right away? He replied "Make sure you send it tomorrow." Feck you I thought so issued a refund right away washing my hands of the rude moron and so received my first negative in 23 years calling me "the worst seller ever"

This has been my policy. If I am able to get the price I want and the item arrives as described, but the seller loggygaged around shipping the item out, I leave nothing. I do not consider a shipping label as actually shipping the item. Otherwise, it is always a positive feedback.

I have always subscribed to the idea that I will never do business with someone who is not willing to behave appropriately during the transaction leading up to the actual transfer of goods and money. So if a buyer started barking orders like that I would actually tell him his comments are adversarial and it is clear he is not willing to act like a normal person conducting an arms length transaction. And I would do exactly as Dr. Watson has done which is to refund the person's money. Not sure Dr. Watson explained all that to the guy or just simply refunded the money and cancelled the transaction without explaining. To take the high ground means not resorting to the foolishness of the other party. So an explanation is warranted. And such an explanation will serve the seller well if eBay police decide to get involved. And that video/meme is entirely unnecessary. Is that suggestive of Dr. Watson's behavior as well? We probably never will know.

I replied to the buyer explaining the tone of his messages were unacceptable and as such I was cancelling the sale and refunding him. I suggested he find someone else to buy from and bade him all the best.

I've never sold on ebay, but I've bought a lot. The only time I've given someone a bad review was because they earned it. I bought and paid for a razor and everything was good, then the next day they relisted the same razor and raised the price and cancelled the sale to me. I let ebay and the seller know of my unhappiness, they then sent me the razor at the price I paid and even threw in a nice shave soap. I scalded them pretty good with my review.
