Lovely heat and the possibility of a entertaining thunderstorm- win-win
I never remember 100 growing up, not to say it didn't occur. Humidity is the problem in the Sunny South.
I'm getting too old for the "lovely heat".Lovely heat and the possibility of a entertaining thunderstorm- win-win![]()
Having converted that from Freedom Eagles into temperatures - damn that's hot.

Bad berry crop in the woods?might have gotten a hint that the terrible season is coming early... a local black bear tore through the trash can last night...
More readily available human food would be my guess.Bad berry crop in the woods?

Any photos for those of us who don't see bears regularly?might have gotten a hint that the terrible season is coming early... a local black bear tore through the trash can last night...
we jumped to the terrible season thing... because it's been too cool to us the past few days... bad berry crop, maybe... most likely it was walking past and sniffed something good... and tried to get a snack...Bad berry crop in the woods?

hoping one of the security cameras got a good vidja... this bear seems to mosey through this area early mornings... possibly when it starts to fatten up... we can shoot a dumbphone photo of it during the day...Any photos for those of us who don't see bears regularly?![]()

Fantastic! Where was this taken if you don’t mind me asking? Was this at home? From August 2019. I spooked a bear very early one Sunday morning in a blue berry patch. View attachment 181301
It was a part of a ten mile loop in the Great Smoky Mountains I hiked every Sunday over two years beginning at or near daybreak. I was on the Turkey Pen Ridge section ascending and heard some rustling in the brush to the left of the trail. The bear kept its rear end facing me. We both stood there not moving, then he turned to look at me and I snapped the photo. I resumed my hike at a noticeable faster pace!Fantastic! Where was this taken if you don’t mind me asking?
