Longer whiskers; better shave

I also shave about every 1.5 days.
If i do leave it longer, then i am in agreement that its certainly a more comfortable shave. although i couldn't say that its necessarily a closer or "better" shave as the end result seems to be about the same.
Apropos hot or cold water, i am only convinced that cold is better afterwards. I think hot is better for the shave itself.

Same razor and blade.
Shaving every second day, XTG + ATG + some pickups = BBS with occasional minor irritation, not every time
6 day growth, ATG + a little more than usual pickups in the neck area only = BBS with no irritation whatsoever
However...
I love shaving too much to wait even 4 days to shave, these occasions are very rare and never by choice.

I shave every day from Monday to Saturday. Not something I can skip and over the years I have over shaved my moderately sensitive skin. As such my Monday shave on rested skin are best shaves.
I too have bristles that lay flat against the skin around neck but a good technique can overcome that. However I welcome the Saturday break just so my skin can recover.

If i would happen to be in need to shave every day, my neck would be a mess, so it would have to be a one pass, and the result would be a socially acceptable shave and become a chore... It's not only that my hair grows flat, it grows flat on concave areas and in directions that are difficult to make a pass with a razor without risking a nick or even a cut. I think that a scimitar (really curved) shaped straight razor would be my best friend ever...

Alternatively, you could try a moustache razor for that.I'll have to become a honemeister before acquiring something like that...

I do stretch it, i shave with shavettes and a straight, but it's still difficult to make a good pass with a razor (don't have fat under my jaws)... I'll definitely have to try to sketch my growth directions for you all to see, but i also know it'll simply "click" one day and i'll have no more problem areas...
I did consider that. But i'll rather stick with straights and shavettes, i'm sure my hands will work the way out...Alternatively, you could try a moustache razor for that.

I use the cold blade method when shaving now after watching the geofatboy YT video & it works for me also.
Also get a better closer smoother shave with 3+ days of growth

I'm the sort that appears disheveled if I do not shave every day. Some younger guys can pull it off and some older guys think they pull if off...LOL!!
