It used to be a glass bowl. That description is out of date - they changed to plastic at least three years ago.

I've check my Aussie supplier and it available in 200g recyclable PETG jar with screw top, cost $105 AUD...... Ouchie plus free postage.....

It's about bloody time an Aussie supplier sells MdC.

It’s a bit cheaper in the uk but then it will last a long time.

This is 18 shaves worth. To be honest it’s gone down more than I expected but I’ve been loading heavily with large brushes and I can knock out a B&M in about 30 shave.

Not, not milled as far as I know. I think it’s dried out for months and that’s what makes it last. I’m sure that’s what I’ve read but others might know better.

As I understand, MdC does not mill their soaps. As @p.b states, they’re simply left to dry for months at a time.

No. It's left to dry for 6 to 8 months.
Still, the post shave is not good and the final lather is not equal with the price (for me).

The lather it produces with 10 seconds though is insane and very easy even for newbie @SpeedyPC who doesn't know how to use the brush
