I figured that's what you meant. Straight shaving does take a little more time. For most of us who are straight devotees the ritual is part of the draw. I personally am an anomily in that I LOVE to hone. I will hone razors that don't even need honing just to try an edge from a different finisher. But, I do keep a barber box with 15 honed to high level HHT for immediate use but it is not unusual for me to grab a razor out of one of the drawers (I have 200ish...

) and go back to 4k if not bevel set then up through 15k or trans/SB Ark (or maybe another of the many nats, but that's another story) before shaving.That's partly why I get up in time to wake the chickens. But,...I feel that life is short, I do mostly things not of my choosing so my shave time is for my peace of mind.
