I completely agree with you about Extro Cosmeti products. As I have a few myself. But I can see that there are a few more, that I need to get. Like the Fra Rinik, Positino, Dandy and Cipresso. Incidently, the Cipresso's artwork has a tombstone with Arch Stanton. In the spaghetti western "The good, the bad and ugly", the treasure was buried beside the grave of Arch Stanton.

I do like the look of the Cipresso and your insight has made it even cooler!

Definitely not an Aventus interpretation. The pineapple isn't dominant in this scent.

I’ve got two of the Goodfellas Smile soaps in (and one of the new 60g pucks, which is much harder so I’m not counting that in my question to follow) and as expected they’re very soft and basically croaps. What do you folks do with loading these, softly off the top with a brush or bowl lathering?

I load with a brush using medium pressure before starting a face lather. It will be worth experimenting with them before you shave as the veggie bases 'develop' differently to the tallow bases. Sometimes the proto lather may look a little wet and airy but the brush may still be fully loaded and ready to go, as an example.

I scraped out a bit yesterday morning before I saw this and it worked quite well. I’ll try your method next time. Used the Chronos and liked it. It seemed a perfectly decent lather and acceptable performance for sure.

I have two extro soaps - sandalwood and vetiver. They are the only artisanal shaving soaps that I have currently. I had difficulty getting acceptable lather from them until something clicked and it is giving me good results now. The scents are decent with the nod going to the vetiver but the scent profiles are not that memorable to me.

The performance of Extro is really good but there seems to be a fair bit of inconsistency across the scent strengths. From the same soap scent type, some have had room filling citrus bombs whilst others have had a barely noticeable scent from the lather.

That could possibly apply to my tubs as the vetiver seems more prominent than the sandalwood though I did not notice if it was because of scent strength or due to the memorability of the scent profile itself. I will have to try them again and see if I can spot which is the case
