20% customs duty seems fair. There was a story in one of the papers about a woman who was charged an extra £40 customs duty for a £200 coat.
The report I saw was £80 on a £200 order, so you're in the right ballpark.I'd expect £90 on top of a £200 order.
That'll make Edwin Jagger happy, but I'm not sure about anyone else. The fix is simple, buy British.

Have you emailed them and asked for VAT to be removed? If I were buying something expensive like a Shavemac I'd want the German VAT removed.Non-EU buying from UK have been impacted in pretty much the exact same way. I'm in Ireland, a lot of my beloved UK sites are still charging UK VAT at checkout, we then have to pay IRE VAT on import along with administration charges.
Democracy rules, it is what it is.
