Thanks. It is true this, because I can't really stand the smell of Tabac. But I like Arko & Palmolive, even though I am not into sticks.Tough question for me to answer as I find most soaps I have tried more than adequate to allow me a decent shave. Add to that the fact that I do not like to pay a premium for a shave soap that is not greatly better than the rest of the pack. I like shave soaps that are high on the price to performance curve or simply put good value for the money. On that basis I'd say for me it would be Arko and Palmolive sticks along with Tabac. Plenty of people dislike at least two of those if not all three.
You really can't go by what a person thinks of a product. Your best bet is to try and get a sample to test for yourself.

Having said that, I think Stirling is a good value. There are many artisan soaps that come close to its price, but they don't perform the same.
