At the end of the day it's the coffee beans that matter. A really good bean from Guatemala, Sumatra, Kenya or Ethiopia will outclass a generic Columbian or Peruvian. It's all in the bean in the first place.Interesting, thanks. I thought freshness was everything but it sounds like maybe a specialist vendor would be the first thing to try...see if I can taste the difference compared to the supermarket stuff.
Another happy Rave customer here, they usually roast the beans on the day they send them out to you and they're very reasonably-priced. I have been favouring Nespresso for the ease though.Rave coffee is one of the cheapest for freshly roasted coffee. They will also grind to a set size for you too. However, if you can get a grinder I think it’s worth it.
mate why didnt the thought of coffee forums cross my mind before? lolIf anyone wants to get geeky about coffee, check out Coffee Forums. It's UK-centric and a good read. I used to hang out there a lot in my geeky coffee days. All you need on machines, coffee and everything else. I used to have a Gaggia espresso machine but these days simplified it to an Aeropress.

Spookily enough, from Rave...where do you get this from?
I am working my way through the Seasonal Organic blend at the moment and the dominant notes are mandarin and pear. Quite a few of the single origin coffees seem to offer something different too - they also sent some of the Guatemalan Bosque and that smells absolutely amazing.I've looked at the Rave coffees a few times, most of their blends look to be chocolatey and I'd like something a bit different
I started off with single origin earlier in the year then quickly found it would be impossible to get a second bag a month or two later. Sticking with blends from now on and will take a look at their Seasonal Organic. Tbh I probably have enough coffee for the time beingQuite a few of the single origin coffees seem to offer something different too - they also sent some of the Guatemalan Bosque and that smells absolutely amazing.
Hasbean typically have more acidic, fruity and brighter flavours in their offerings as do Square Mile coffee, but they are more expensive and MUCH more expensive respectively.I've looked at the Rave coffees a few times, most of their blends look to be chocolatey and I'd like something a bit different
