2 years ago i bought a second hand Home Like Shaving "Start" razor with the "Bulava" (translates to "Mace" - the weapon, not teargas) handle that is very similar (with minor differences) to those of both Yaqi and the blackbird handles. I knew it was the HLS omage to/copy of the Blackbird handle, but i bought the razor because it was fairly cheaper than ordering a set from the maker's website. It's the only "high end" razor i have, and since i've discovered straights and AC shavettes several months later, i decided to put it away as a gift for my son in the future.

What was the verdict on the Tachi? It looks lovely but if it's super aggressive it would probably be too much for me.
