Wickham 1912 Suggestions

Looking for some opinions. Last Christmas, a friend gifted me a tub of Wickham Magnum, which is outstanding from a performance standpoint. But the scent is a bit too sweet (floral?) for me. I generally like earthier and oriental scents. I'll probably end up ordering some samples, but thought I might ask first.

Thanks much!

My favourites for Wickhams have got to me Classic 24 and Buddha Wood

You may find Buddha Wood a tad sweet too, Brad, even if satisfying your oriental taste. If Magnum is too sweet/floral, so will Shamrock Tweed likely. Classic 24 is Creed Aventus inspired and may fit the bill.

May I suggest Irish Fern, Russian Leather, and Cashmere? Possibly English Rose too but you obviously have to like rose.

As you surely know, plenty of samples available both from Connaught’s and Shavedash this side of the Atlantic if not readily available in the US.

i've probably have more scents in 1912 than Darron himself so I should be able to help here. What are your top 3 fragrances to wear? (Not a aftershave splash but an EDT or EDP)

I'm not really much for fragrances. Lucky Tiger or plain witch hazel as a post-shave skin conditioner is about all I use. My favorite soap scents are Calani's Oriental Plum; a nice, earthy vetiver or fougere if any of that helps.

i'd suggest one of the following, (descriptions from Darrons site and are very true to my nose)

Irish Fern,Having the hallmark of a classic Fougere, Irish Fern evokes images of rich greens, aromatic, herbal freshness, drops of falling water in deep woods and wind blowing over fields. A masculine fragrance that is clean and invigorating, it delivers a satisfying aroma of emerald goodness.

Scottish Heather: Evocative of a highland vista, Scottish Heather is a crafted blend of lush green grass with restorative notes of anise and a hearty woody base to cool and calm the senses.

Cashmere With Notes of basil leaf are woven into the elegant heart of white patchouli and underscored by the dry oak moss. Calming, soft and comforting all come to mind

Another vote here for Buddha Wood and Cashmere! English Rose is also very good, but may be too sweet if you find Magnum that way.

Great soaps, great scents.. my pick would be (of the profile you requested) Citrus Musk.. however my personal favourite is Classic 24. Sadly I have only tried three scents..the other was Club Cola which was very nice.
