What was that foam in a can that was supposed to be really good?

There was talk, a year or so ago, about a foam that was reckoned to be better than the usual Gillette or whatever. Can't recall who recommended it - except the name Vince or Vinnie springs to mind for some reason or maybe it was Carl who spoke of it. (I can't even remember Carl's user name - just goes to show, as soon as you leave you're a dim and distant memory who no-one remembers).

As it could even have been before ATG was formed maybe I ought to ask over the way too.

Noxzema’s good. Proraso isn’t bad either.

Noxzema has a thicknener which creates a nice volumous layer.

I do feel bad about the Carl situation, emailed him a few times and invited him to ATG, I don't think he will join though.

I just heard from him. He is good and he is saving a lot of money since quitting forums.

Rexell is the replacement for Noxzema.

It's very, very good stuff.

I went full circle with this.

Noxzema went out of production, I did some googling, stumbled across Badger and Blade over a decade ago, dabbled with various bits and bobs and then Rexell was released.

Job jobbed.

We can still get Noxzema foam in the white can here in North America. Made in Canada. My favourite scent in all of shavedom. I match it with Thayer Superhazel and Superior 70 Mentolado from Puerto Rico and I enjoy a nice hour in camphor and menthol paradise. This thread just inspired me to line it up for tomorrow's SOTD!
