ok... thanks... we have a weird thing with things that were made/released when we were made & released...

We knew someone who opened the first dealership in my hometown. Before the GL there was a FF1 model, circa 1971. They were all famous for the blown head gasket. Mine blew one as well. However, after replacing, that was the end of the problem.

I worked at the dealership in HS cleaning up the used cars as well as the new Subarus. If the engine needed to be pulled, we took turns lifting it out of the engine bay...LOL!!

the earliest Subaru we really knew was the Brat... actually thought they went away during the 80s... we've always liked quirky vehicles... back in our day... nearly had a 70s hearse...

You might recall the Brat had rear facing seats, seat belts, and carpet in the bed area. This allowed Subaru to classify the vehicle a passenger car to avoid the tariff on import trucks.

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but I think it's worth putting out there; it may be of some worth to our members. My wife is a care manager with a few staff, she told me how great the new AI is at doing her staff rotas, does them in minutes.

I use AI to do research, it is thorough and very fast, I have arrived at the conclusion that most of the time it is smarter than I am.

Not infallible, it has told me that a relative died last November, even quoted their home address. It also told me that the CEO of my wife's company had left the company quoting him. 'Yesterday was my last day at **********, best wishes to all the staff'. My wife's comment was that AI must be able to predict the future, the knives are being sharpened for his back.
