The zippers failed on our Big Agnes Diamond 6 person tent that I purchased in 2015. My son suggested I contact the company to see if it could be repaired . To my surprise, they warranted the tent 100% if I had a receipt. I searched the website where I thought I had made the purchase and found it. The closest tent currently available is the Bunk House 6.

That's good news, and excellent company to deal with.

Soccer for the lad went very well yesterday. He played a wing position.

A little history, last year when I asked him if he could use his left foot, he said he couldn't. I took him to the field early and asked him to use his left and it didn't matter where it went. He found out he can kick with his left. Since that day he has continued to warmup with left- and right-hand kicks. So, yesterday he made several excellent passes with his left including long passes. Last year he was able to score with left and right.

Last night I sent him a text and asked him to choose one new skill this year and suggested "juggling" because I read it can improve overall foot work agility.

Finally got the motivation to remove my badly set knot.

The factory black fibre was just awful, and I bungled the replacement, it being my first. I set it too high. It was an $8 Maggard synthetic so no great loss. I think I’ll spring for a STF knot this time, and do more test-fitting and thinking.

A bonus to the re-re-knotting is that I removed the chromed plastic ring on top, something I was afraid to do in my first flailing attempt. Was just shooting for minimally invasive, back-into-service the first time.

Good stuff! I may be attempting a reknot myself at some point, the new zenith horsie being a candidate. I’m looking forward to seeing how it goes for you. Maybe start a separate thread?

I hate those stupid rings, makes it look cheap.

Sounds good!

I checked (briefly) for a project/brush thread but didn’t see one. I’ve been slowly working my way through the Simpson brush appreciation thread this weekend. Lots of beautiful stuff. Inspired me to order a Chubby 1 platinum synthetic. Too bad so many photo sharing sites have gone dark over the years.. 😕

I have terrible little homeowner tools so I don’t think I’ll be making a hobby of brushes, but I’ll certainly do as much reading (this time) before I do the re-re-set.
