What made your day a good one?

Yeah I come from the North West where we mainly had cotton mills. Kids were employed to run under the looms and machines to fix stoppages. Missing limbs and breathing conditions were some of the joys to be expected 😕 Grim stuff

There used to be a TV series on Amazon called The Mill which was a fascinating watch. It was set at Quarry Bank Mill in Cheshire where you can still visit and see the machines working. The noise!!!

The TV show is very good if you like history...

I’ll see if I can watch the series tonight. Thanks 🙏

Completed the 3 Peaks challenge yesterday afternoon. Didn’t manage it with the 24 hours - it took 35 as we had a large group and a mix of capabilities but we enjoyed the challenge- even the appalling weather on Scafell Pike (passed Princess Katherine on our way down as she and her team were climbing near the start and warned her about the shitty weather at the top 😂)

Britain's Princess Kate climbs 3 mountains in 24 hours for charity

So did she lie, or just fast?

I was reading about this the other day. It’s the 400+ miles of driving it involves that I hadn’t reckoned with. It’s quite something all in. A great experience no doubt with the added bonus of a Royal spot

Much faster.
We had a couple of people who were frustratingly slow. Plus we had a minibus speed limited to 62mph. She was surrounded by bodyguards and mountain guides and probably had a police escort between peaks.

24 hours is doable if the traffic is ok and you don’t get stuck behind a coach on the highland roads as we did, and if you just crack on at each mountain and have the cardiovascular fitness and strength to climb without stopping.

did some stumbling around the back side wooded area of where we live... part of which was to shoot some shave gear pics... only shot a couple... got distracted by some trash and cleaning it up...

I've been meaning to discuss the difference between a safety razor and a straight in how my face feels differently post use. What is a surprise, with a straight you have to maintain an angle which might not be as consistent as with a safety type.
