I'm glad someone's enjoying it.
I am! Sure it’s sweaty at times, but one can eat outside in the evening without needing an extra top, enjoy water sports without fear of hypothermia if soaked and enjoy heat without having to take two weeks off work at peak expense and fly somewhere.
Remember we endured fifty bloody nonstop days of pissing rain during winter/ spring - this is the upside

My favourite part of the summer has always been the “golden hour” before sunset. The sun’s not as strong so I can sit out without burning, the temperature comes down, ideally to a comfortable 18-20°, and the countryside is bathed in beautiful light as the sun sets. The owls and the bats start coming out not long after too.

A very memorable event in the golden hour happened a few years ago. I went on holiday to northern Scotland in June, looked out of the holiday cottage at 10pm and it the sun was out and there was a beautiful stillness in the air, too good to waste I thought. Got in the car and drove half a mile to a beach, sat down and watched the waves. A flock of swans flew low over the waves, no more than six feet above the water and I could hear the wind going through their feathers
